Can you believe that Reclaiming Beautiful has been in its Stillwater location for a full year already?! Time flies.
Reclaiming Beautiful was started the summer of 2013 in Marine on St Croix. The original owner, Monique, had always wanted to own her own shop so she asked the owner of a building that was for sale if she could rent it on a month to month basis until it sold (how enterprising of her!) and the answer was yes.
She asked her pal Susan to join her and together with Monique’s daughter Amber they opened their doors on a Fourth of July weekend.
They were in that cute little falling down building for two summers while they dreamed of one day moving to Stillwater. That dream came true on March 13, 2015 when another friend, Michele, partnered up with them and they opened the doors of their current location.
They started with a handful of amazing vendors and continue to work with them today (and a few new talented people added along the way). They’ve kept their team small and each member is committed to working together with the same vision of making RB the best it can be.
Monique says, “we have amazing customers who come back again and again and bring their friends too. None of us could do this without our wonderful hubby’s by our side to help us haul and move and deliver. We couldn’t do it without them! We feel blessed to have the support of so many family and friends…we love what we do and feel so blessed to be able to do it!”
To celebrate their one year anniversary, they are hosting a Sip and Shop this Friday, March 18, from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m.
You can test out this chair ($125) while you sip. Isn’t it a charmer? I love the blue!
Very nice Linda, you always tell such a nice story !! Always great pictures !!
Thanks Lisa! Your stained glass door/coat rack/bench looks fab!
Love this shop and its owners and so thankful to have a small role in bringing beauty to this world…because we can never have too much beauty around us 🙂
Absolutely!
Such enticing photos! This shop has the largest selection of painted furniture and decorating goodies (and inspiration) of anywhere I have been so far in the metro. Love the cane back bench!
Thanks Kim! Reclaiming Beautiful does have one of the best selections of painted furniture around!
I just LOVE the chair – I’ve been noticing it on recent posts and this is the first photo showing a “front” view. Too bad I can’t make it to Stillwater this weekend.
I really like it as well. When I pulled it out to take a look at the front, I knew I had to get a photo of it from that angle. Even though you can’t make it this weekend, you never know, it might still be available when you can get to Stillwater!
